Puncak Ciremai Terbakar

Kuningan Terkini - Hamparan vegetasi termasuk edelweis di di bagian utara lereng puncak Gunung Ciremai, Jawa Barat dilalap sijago merah. Kebakaran yang melanda puncak gunung berapi tertinggi di Jawa Barat ini, terjadi sejak Jumat (15/8/2015). Hingga saat ini, kobaran api ditambah angin yang kencang, terus merambah dan menghanguskan vegetasi lainnya.
Pantauan di lokasi menyebutkan, kebakaran berawal dari Blok Kawahburung, lereng barat laut puncak Ciremai. Kobaran api terus meluas terdorong angin kearah timur. Bahkan, rembetan api telah menjangkau lereng timur laut sekitar Blok Pangasinan, yakni mendekati bagian puncak jalur pendakian Linggarjati.
"Api yang melalap vegetasi di sekitar Blok Pangasinan, merupakan rembetan dari titik api di sekitar Kawahburung," ujar Kepala Seksi Taman Nasional wilayah 1 Balai Taman Nasional Gunung Ciremai, Hawal Widodo beberapa waktu lalu.
Hal senada disampaikan aktivis lingkungan, Avo Juhartono yang melihat secara langsung kebakaran di puncak Ciremai. Menurutnya, saat ini kobaran api sudah mendekati area Blok Pangasinan dan kearah selatan mendekati bagian jalur pendakian Linggarjati.
"Kami berupaya membuat dandangan atau alur sekat bakar agar api tidak terus meluas,” ucapnya.(red)
